Doesn't Santification come with Responsibility?

Well, it has been awhile, but much has happened that is helping me grow. The Lord has led me to start a support group for individuals with chronic disease. There are currently 4 in the group and expect that as the Lord leads, it will grow.

So, with this new group comes responsibility and a sense of accountability. The group itself is responsible to the group, but as the leader, I have an added accountability. I am accountable to keep the group true to our purpose and to our shared desire to glorify God in this endeavor.

We are meeting twice a month. The first meeting of the month is a time of sharing and caring. No "oh, poor me" conversations, but more of a sharing of our common realities. We talk about our current issues and we share encouragement and suggestions. Example being that we were talking about how the heat frustrates and depletes our energies and someone suggested cooling vests. They are worn to help keep the body core cool.

The second meeting is a Bible study. We are currently doing Max Lucado's book Finding Strength in Your Stuggles.  It is a wonderful little 4 session study that has an audio component. We are looking forward to seeing God's grace in all our circumstances.

Pray for us as we work together and please pray for my leadership.
