Glimpses of God's Grace

Glimpses of God's Grace

So, it occurs to me that as I think about Sanctification......growing in God...........that oftentimes I grow because I see glimpses of His grace. I see times when He is right here walking beside me or is right there in front of me so I can't miss him.

Examples from this week, my Spring Break:
I had the opportunity to spend about 24 hours out at my parent's house. It was nice, quiet and so beautiful outside. I just sat reading and enjoying His nature. I was aware of His presence while talking with my dad and while reading in the sunshine.  His grace.
On Tuesday, went to the doctor about a cough I have had for a long time. She, the doctor, mentioned whooping cough and I LOST IT! My new baby niece is due on Monday and all I could think was, "I won't get to see her or hold her for a long time!" Then in that moment, right after the doctor left the room, I felt a peace wash over me and I said out loud, "God, you will walk with me through this." I don't know where that came from, but from Him. His grace!
On Thursday, got the blood work results and no whooping cough!!!  His grace.

So many more. What glimpses of God's grace have you had lately? Your glimpses might be just what I need to hear to help me while Working on My Sanctification.

2/25/13:

God is good!  As I sat with a parent just now who was worried her son would feel singled out by his new "label," I assured her that the purpose of this "label" was to make her son equal to all other students here at school.

She and I discussed what we can do her to help her son and as the meeting progressed, the level of tension in her body abated. She was feeling relaxed as she looked over at my coffee mug. Suprised, she exclaimed, “That’s my verse!”  I replied, “That’s my verse!”

Then, in unison, we recited
“I know the plans I have for your, declares the Lord.
Plans to prosper you and not to harm you.
Plans to give you a hope and a future.”
                Jeremiah 29:11
